FastCentrik shopping cart system updates: JANUARY – MAY 2011

• 31 May 2011 – Recycling fee adjustment – now it is possible to set the recycling fee value to two decimal numbers.
• 30 May 2011 – adjustment of number of items in order – previously, in case there were several pieces of the same article in the shopping cart and buyer changed their mind as for the adjustment,  the number of items per buying unit was set to 1. This error has been corrected.
• 26 May 2011 – discount coupons administration – minor changes and corrections in filtering discounts coupons have been made.
• 25 May 2011 – registration and order form (only English version) – required field “State”. It is now necessary to select from a list of states (originally the first item from the list was selected automatically)
• 12 May 2011 – a connection between stock availability and any article – in the administration of stock availability it is now possible to enter URL of an article which then appears in a new window after clicking the Stock Availability icon. As for articles located outside the e-shop, it is necessary to enter the entire link address (e.g. http://www.domain.cz/article). Otherwise, it is sufficient to enter a relative path (e.g. /stock-availability/t-295).
• 11 May 2011 – adjustment of quantifying the sum of money of discount coupons – in case of two types of VAT in the order (tax recapitulation), the amount of the coupon money is divided according to the ratio of prices of items with different tax.
• 10 May 2011 – setting up full text search – in case of the exact name match, search results prefer items according to stock availability (products in stock come first).
• 9 May 2011 – adjustment of discount coupons administration – coupon generator is treated against insertion of invalid characters in the Description field
• 4 May 2011 – adjustment of order using discount coupon – in the order, discount coupon name is now displayed instead of the original general text “Discount coupon”.
• 3 May 2011 – adjustment of discount coupon generator – coupon name and description have been added (used for internal purposes of the e-shop administrator). Then, code mask has been modified – now it is possible to define parts of a text or the whole text = coupon code (e.g. OPERATION xyz). In the code mask, it is now possible to combine wild-card characters arbitrarily (# for a number, @ for a letter).

April 2011 

• 13 April 2011 – overview of orders of registered customers – in connection with arrangements of rounding the sums in the order form, these arrangement have been transferred to the list of orders as well.
• 5 April 2011 – Shipment Monitoring Module support for other carriers – new variable [#PARCEL_Id#] has been introduced in order to “compose” arbitrary URL paths for shipment monitoring. For more information, see our manual.
• 4 April 2011 – rounding off in order – the system of rounding the sums in the order form has been changed. Previously, when buyer wanted to order several items, the result of the sum did not correspond to the real final amount.

March 2011 

• 29 March 2011 – price of items in the shopping cart – errors in counting the total amount (when buying several pieces of the same article) have been corrected.
• 16 March 2011 – XML expander adjustment – bad link to the “Related products” has been removed in the export XML for goods.
• 15 March 2011 – the Pinned Sites module (new functionality) – together with the Internet Explorer 9 release, we have enriched FastCentrik platform with Pinned Sites.
• 14 March 2011 – sending e-mail messages (new functionality) – a new way of sending e-mail messages from e-shops via “e-mail robot” guarantees delivery of any message with 100% certainty.
• 7 March 2011 – adjustment of the robots.txt file – indexing of some selected e-shop pages has been banned in order to improve SEO results.
• 3 March 2011 – adjustment of displaying SEO meta tags in the case suffixes are not filled in in the administration of the e-shop (HTML header).
• 2 March 2011 – XML expander adjustment – change of the element content. Medium size image displayed in detail page has been replaced by its larger equivalent.

February 2011
 

• 22 February 2011 – adjustment of the XMP export of goods for the Versions module – new elements have been added to the export XML. The new elements are: "<bMasterVyrobek>", "<sIdMasterVyrobku>", <nPoradiZobrazeniVarianty>. The current version of XSD and XML examples can be found here.
• 21 February 2011 – product images – on the basis of client requests, the NetDirect copyright logo has been removed from the bottom of the browser when displaying product images.
• 17 February 2011 – clearing the e-shop's cache – Clear Cache button has been moved from the “System Settings” to “Main Menu”. Clearing cache causes server overload problems and that is why it should not be used very often. For this reason, e-shop administrator must confirm the clearing with the confirmation button that was left in the administration
• 14 February 2011 – XML expander adjustment – export of goods has been supplemented with special offers export.
• 10 February 2011 – parameters – module adjustment – new features and functionalities added. We are planning to write an article with a detailed description of all modifications.
• 8 February 2011 – Product Versions module (new functionality) – a variable view of products is now available for our clients. 
• 3 February 2011 – online stock availability adjustment - “Location Tooltip” element added. It enables to relay other information, such as goods location in different stores.
• 2 February 2011 – discount coupons – error in displaying discount in order detail using a discount coupon has been corrected (displaying prices has been set to “VAT non-payer”).
  

January 2011
 

• 31 January 2011 – discount coupons – discount is now automatically reflected in the overall price of the order in the shopping cart.
•  26 January 2011 – the order confirmation – in the American version of FastCentrik, minor changes as for the HTML order confirmation have been made (texts in the order, date format of the order etc.)
• 21 January 2011 – the user manual has been updated (English version, version 2.3) – all the new functionalities, adjustments and corrections up to 14 January 2011 have been written down in the manual. The current version of the manual can be downloaded here. 
• 19 January 2011 – graphic change of the PayPal payment method icon – after sending the order, the icon linking to the PayPal payment gateway is supplemented with graphical elements of credit cards in order to be evident at first sight that it is possible to pay this way.
• 13 January 2011 – search suggestions (new functionality) – full text searching has been supplemented with web search “help” - a list of expressions that most internet visitors enter when they search something in the e-shop. Search suggestions help to find out common phrases that other people have already searched for. Each term is statistically processed and then displayed according to its rank (highest number of search terms). If you have got your own graphics implemented in the e-shop, it is necessary to check the accuracy of imaging and to change the style if needed. In the e-shop administration, it is possible to adjust the number of terms appearing below the search bar. If you don't want the search suggestions to appear, enter the 0 character (zero) in the administration. Settings can be found here: “Administration → System Settings → Modules Settings → General → Search Box → Maximum number of suggestions displayed”. We are planning to write a more detailed article on this issue.
• 12 January 2011 – sending order via e-mail (English version) – name of file (file with the order), that is sent to the buyer, has been corrected.
